Later on, I carried a post-doc research regarding the mechanical properties of Bacteria, and then I moved to studying the oscillatory Min system of Bacteria via in vitro assays. In parallel, I studied the Cdv system that participates in cell division in Archaeal Sulfolobales. In addition, I developed a platform for synthetic cell production.
After this period, I moved to brain science and, particularly, to psychiatry and neuroimaging. In this role, I studied aging of the brain (Intracranial volume), and brain connectivity in relatives of people that were diagnosed with psychosis.
This work also led me to the world of plants, where I studied the function of GABA and Glutamate in plant physiology.
After that, I decided to move to cognitive neuroscience and particularly the study of conscious perception. Currently, I am studying the biological basis for individual differences in conscious perception.
As you can see, what is most typical in my career is its interdisciplinary aspects. I hope to maintain this feature in the years to come.
