Special issue of the ACM Transactions on Intelligent Systems and Technology
http://tist.acm.org, SUBMISSIONS DUE AUGUST 30, 2010
Theme and Topics
Over the recent years, the ubiquitous use of computers and the World Wide Web enabled people to participate and interact with each other in numerous Web communities, such as forums, discussion groups, and social networks. Observing these interactions from user-generated social data offers computer scientists unprecedented opportunities for studying these rich interactions. To date, a considerable amount of research has been devoted to the social Web, but the fundamental mechanisms that govern the dynamics of online social interactions are yet to be understood.
We solicit submissions on the latest research in computational models of collective intelligence in the social Web. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
Submissions
Papers should be submitted through the Manuscript Central system (to be available in April, 2010) at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/tist. Please select "Special Issue: Computational Models of Collective Intelligence in the Social Web" as the manuscript type. Each paper will be reviewed by at least three expert reviewers. Further details on manuscript preparation as well as publication policies are available on the ACM TIST Web site at http://tist.acm.org/authors.html.
