Abstract: this paper, Di#erence Estimationsfor Large Itemsets (DELI), uses sampling to estimate the upper bound on thedi#erence between the old and new sets of association rules. Small changes to theassociation rule set are ignored. Performance studies showed the e#ectiveness ofthe DELI approach in saving resources [Lee and Cheung 1997]
