Kim Man Lui (雷剑文) was born in Hong Kong. He graduated from Tamkang University in Taiwan, received Bachelor of Engineering. Subsequently, he got the scholarships from the Ministry of Education of South Africa and he received a master's degree in University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. Afterwards, working in China and Hong Kong, He also received a Ph.D. in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
His books are Truth Among Lies: Positive and Negative Cases of Technical Analysis, Software Development Rhythms (In Chinese), Software Development Rhythms (In English), Facts and Fictions in Extreme Programming Practices (In Chinese) and CMM: Software Development Process Management and Improvement (In Chinese).
