Jiawei Han is computer scientist who specializes in research on Data Mining. He was the 2009 winner of the McDowell Award, the highest technical award made by IEEE.
He is currently a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Previously he was a professor in the School of Computing Science at Simon Fraser University. He is an ACM fellow and an IEEE fellow.
